Accommodation is an essential part of the Albania Nomads experience. Throughout your road trip, you’ll sleep in unique places surrounded by nature.

Before you set off, we reserve a pitch for you at every campsite along the route. We deliberately create a varied experience: one night at a small, authentic site in the middle of the wild, followed by a night at a larger campsite with a little more comfort and facilities. Every location is chosen for its setting, amenities and welcoming hosts.

Although your pitches are reserved and guaranteed every night, you’re also completely free to wild camp during your trip. In fact, we highly recommend giving it a try now and then for an even more immersive experience!

What to expect at the campsites?

All camping pitches have already been reserved for you. When you arrive, choose your pitch and relax.

Comfort is always guaranteed. All campsites have the necessary sanitary facilities and hot showers.

Most campsites have a communal area and a restaurant where you can enjoy delicious traditional Albanian dishes.

Are there bathroom facilities at every campsite?

Yes, all campsites have basic sanitary facilities such as toilets and showers. The facilities may vary from one site to another.

What is included in the price?

The base price includes the following: a fully equipped car, overnight stays in exceptional locations, a complete roadbook with useful tips and advice, access to an exclusive app, and support before and during your trip.

Where can we eat?

You’ve got plenty of options! Your vehicle comes with a fully equipped kitchen kit, so you can prepare your own meals along the way. You’ll easily find supermarkets and local shops where you can stock up. If you’d rather put your feet up and let someone else do the cooking, you can also eat at restaurants on the campsites or discover small local spots nearby.

Can you wild camp?

You’re completely free to spend the night wherever you like. However, a campsite is reserved for you every night as standard.

Do you want to take action for nature?

Through our partnership with Greentripper, you can offset the CO₂ emissions associated with your trip. Your contribution supports a certified project in Uganda that distributes more efficient cookstoves, significantly reducing fuel consumption. Travelbase contributes to the project too.

What does the travel guide include?

The roadbook contains everything you need for a successful trip.

For starters, it includes the complete route. You’ll visit the best-known places, but we’ll also take you to lesser-known spots that haven’t yet made it into most guidebooks. We’ll suggest places to stop, but of course, you’re free to decide whether to visit them and whether to add extra stops to the ones we recommend.

The roadbook also includes a selection of unique places where you can enjoy a drink or a meal in the evening.

Is there support available on site?

During your trip, you’ll find all the information you need in our app. Just before you leave, you’ll also get access to an in-app chat with everyone travelling on the same date. You can use it to stay in touch with the group. If you run into any problems, our local car partner and a member of our team are there to help.

How can I charge my devices during the trip?

The vehicle has USB ports inside and a cigarette lighter socket, so you can keep your phone or camera charged throughout the journey.
