Divers have tried several times to measure it, but have never managed to reach the bottom: the pressure of the water rising at an impressive rate of <\/span><b>18,400 litres per second<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> makes it impossible. The deepest point ever reached is around <\/span><b>45 to 50 metres<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, and the bottom of the karst chasm has still never been found.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Another unusual feature is that the water stays icy cold all year round, at around <\/span><b>10\u00b0C<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, even in summer, when outdoor temperatures can easily climb above 30\u00b0C. It\u2019s an ideal stop on the route between Sarand\u00eb or Ksamil and Gjirokast\u00ebr, or the other way around.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The road is in good condition for almost the entire journey, apart from the <strong>last 2 kilometres<\/strong>, which are unpaved but perfectly manageable.
